The Seattle Seahawks have been lucky enough to have some great first round draft picks throughout franchise history. Here is every single Seahawks first round draft pick in team history.
1976. Steve Niehaus
The Seahawks first ever first round selection was Steve Nieuhas. He was a DT from Notre Dame. He won NFC defensive rookie of the year.
1977. Steve August
In 1977 the Seahawks with the 14th pick of the NFL draft took Steve August an offensive guard. He attended Tulsa. He started three seasons for the Seahawks.
1978. Keith Simpson
In the 1978 draft the Seattle Seahawks drafted Keith Simpson a defensive back. He was taken with the 9th overall pick of the draft. He played 8 seasons with the Seahawks.
1979. Manu Tuiasosopo
With the 18th pick of the 1979 draft the Seahawks selected Tuisosopop a defensive tackle. He attended UCLA. His family is still a huge part of the Seattle sports community.
1980. Jacob Green
With the 10th pick of the 1980 NFL draft the Seahawks selected Jacob Green a defensive end out of Texas A&M. He had a stellar career with the Seahawks and became a legend with the team.
1981. Kenny Easley
In the 1981 NFL draft the Seahawks selected Easley with the 4th overall pick out of UCLA. He became one of the most iconic Seahawks ever and was inducted to the pro football hall of fame.
1982. Jeff Bryant
Bryant was selected with the 6th overall pick of the 1982 NFL Draft. He was a defensive end out of Clemson. He played his entire 12 year career with the Seahawks.
1983. Curt Warner
The Seahawks selected Curt Warner with 3rd overall pick of the NFL draft. The running back came out of Penn State. He went on to be one of the most iconic running backs in Seahawks history.
1984. Terry Taylor
The Seahawks selected Terry Taylor 22nd overall in the 1984 NFL draft. The CB came out of Southern Illinois. He spent 11 seasons with the Seahawks.
1985. No First Round Pick
The Seahawks did not have a first round pick in the 1985 NFL draft.
1986. John L. Williams.
The Seahawks selected John L. Williams with the 15th overall pick of the 1986 draft. He was a FB out of Florida. He spent 8 seasons with the team.
1987. Tony Woods
The Seahawks selected Tony Woods 18th overall in the draft. He was a LB from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent 5 seasons with the Seahawks.
1988. Brian Bosworth
Bosworth was selected 22nd overall by the Seahawks. The linebacker out of Oklahoma was a huge college star. However, his NFL career never resembled his college career.
1989. Andy Heck
The Seahawks selected Andy Heck an offensive tackle with the 15th overall pick. He went to Notre Dame. He played 5 seasons for the team.
1990. Cortez Kennedy
Kennedy was selected with the third overall pick of the 1990 NFL Draft. The DT from Miami is arguably the best defensive player in franchise history and won NFL defensive player of the year award one time.
1991. Dan McGwire
Dan McGwire was selected 16th overall by the Seahawks. The QB out of San Diego State was the first QB to be drafted in the first round by the Seahawks. He was a bust and rarely found the playing field.
1992. Ray Roberts
Ray Roberts was an offensive tackle and was selected 10th overall by the Seahawks. He played at the University of Virginia. He had a solid NFL career.
1993. Rick Mirer
The Seahawks selected Rick Mirer a QB from Notre Dame with the 2nd overall pick. He was a huge bust and never had a season with more than 13 TDs.
1994. Sam Adams
The Seahawks selected Sam Adams with the 8th overall pick. He was a DT from Texas A&M. He had a solid career with the Seahawks.
1995. Joey Galloway
Galloway was selected 8th overall from Ohio State. The speedy WR was a game changer and was one of the most exciting Seahawks during his tenure.
1996. Pete Kendall
Pete Kendall was an offensive tackle from Boston College. The Seahawks selected him with the 21st overall pick. He spent 4 seasons with the team.
1997. Shawn Springs
The Seahawks had two first round picks in 1997. With the 3rd overall pick they took Shawn Springs a CB out of Ohio State. He was an elite and shut down corner.
1997. Walter Jones
With their second 1st round pick, the Seahawks selected Walter Jones an OT from Florida State. He went on to be the best OT in the game and a hall of famer.
1998. Anthony Simmons
With the 15th overall pick the Seahawks took Anthony Simmons. He was a LB from Clemson. He had a solid career with the Seahawks.
1999. Lamar King
In 1999 the Seahawks took Lamar King with the 22nd overall pick. He was a DE out of Saginaw Valley State. He had only 12 sacks in his career.
2000. Shaun Alexander
The Seahawks had two first round picks in 2000. With the 19th pick they took Shaun Alexander a RB from Alabama. He went on to win league MVP and help the Seahawks reach their first Super Bowl.
2000. Chris McIntosh
With their second 1st round pick in the 2000 draft the Seahawks selected Chris McIntosh an OT from Wisconsin. His career was cut short due to a neck injury.
2001. Koren Robinson
The Seahawks once again found themselves with two 1st round picks. They selected Koren Robinson 9th overall he was a WR from NC State. He had flashes but was an inconsistent WR.
2001. Steve Hutchinson
With the 17th pick of the draft the Seahawks took Steve Hutchinson a guard from Michigan. He went on to be one of the best guards in Seahawks history.
2002. Jerramy Stevens
With the 28th overall pick the Seahawks took local product Jerramy Stevens a tight end out of Washington. He was overall a bust in his pro career.
2003. Marcus Trufant
With the 11th overall pick the Seahawks selected Marcus Trufant a CB from Washington State. He was another local product. He had a very good career with the Seahawks.
2004. Marcus Tubbs
With the 23rd overall pick the Seahawks selected Marcus Tubbs. He was a DT from the University of Texas. He had four injury ridden seasons with the team.
2005. Chris Spencer
With the 26th overall pick the Seahawks selected Chris Spencer. He was a center out of Mississippi. He spent six seasons with the team.
2006. Kelly Jennings
With the 31st overall pick the Seahawks selected Kelly Jennings. He was a CB out of the University of Miami. He spent 5 seasons with the team.

2010. Russell Okung
The Seahawks owned two 1st round picks in the 2010 draft. With the 6th pick they took Russell Okung a OT from Oklahoma State. Okung had a solid career with the Seahawks.
2010. Earl Thomas
With the 14th overall pick the Seahawks took Earl Thomas. A safety out of Texas. He became one of the key members of the Super Bowl team and one of the best Seahawks of all time.
2011. James Carpenter
With the 25th pick of the 2011 draft the Seahawks took James Carpenter. He was a guard from Alabama. He spent 2011-2014 with the team.
2012. Bruce Irvin
The Seahawks took Bruce Irvin with the 15th pick of the NFL draft. It was somewhat of surprise. But the DE from West Virginia had a solid career with the Seahawks.
