A.J. Brown Trade Could Happen This Summer, and Eagles Fans Are Already Nervous

The rumor mill is spinning hard right now, and it's got Patriots and Eagles brass at the center of it. According to reports circulating days before the 2026 NFL Draft, the Patriots and Eagles are "likely" working toward a deal for star wide receiver A.J. Brown, with a potential trade expected in June. This isn't some wild speculation either, people are taking this seriously.

The Trade Framework Takes Shape

This isn't the first time teams have circled Brown's name in trade talks. The Eagles have fielded interest in their elite receiver, and now the Patriots appear ready to make a serious push to land him. A June trade would give New England time to integrate Brown into their system before training camp kicks off in late July, and it would give the Patriots clarity on their receiving corps heading into the regular season.

For the Eagles, moving Brown would represent a major shift in their offensive approach. He's been one of the most productive weapons in the league, and letting him walk to a division rival like the Patriots would sting. But if Philadelphia is exploring this move, it likely means they're looking to reshape their roster priorities or address other areas of need heading into the draft.

What's Next For Both Teams

The Patriots would be landing an elite talent if this goes through, adding another proven star to their offense ahead of the draft. Meanwhile, the Eagles are still evaluating their roster after recent roster moves, and this potential Brown trade would signal they're willing to make bold decisions to reshape their team. With the draft happening now and training camp on the horizon, expect more clarity on this deal within the next few weeks.
