Back-to-Back Dominance: Davis High's Hull Just Made History with Second Player of the Year Award
Junior Cheyenne Hull just did something special. The Davis High School standout has been named Washington Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. That's not a fluke. That's excellence on repeat. And if that wasn't enough, head coach Akil White took home Washington Coach of the Year honors, cementing Davis High as the program everyone in the state is talking about right now.
Hull's Historic Run
Winning Player of the Year once is an accomplishment. Winning it twice before you graduate? That puts you in rare air. Hull's back-to-back recognition tells you everything you need to know about the kind of player and competitor he is. As a junior, he's already cemented himself as one of the elite talents in Washington prep sports. The question isn't whether he's great. The question now is just how high his ceiling goes.
White's Coaching Masterclass
You can't have this kind of success without a coach who knows how to build a program and get the most out of his players. Akil White earned Coach of the Year for a reason. He's got Davis High competing at the highest level, developing talent like Hull, and establishing a culture where excellence is the standard. That's what great coaching looks like.
Both Hull and White represent what's possible when you combine raw talent with discipline, dedication, and a winning mentality. Davis High is the team to watch in Washington prep sports right now, and these honors prove it.
