Bleacher Report Predicts The Seattle Seahawks To Miss 2025 Playoffs

The Seattle Seahawks have missed the playoffs the last two seasons under Pete Carroll and Mike Macdonald in his first season. Now, Bleacher Report predicts the Seahawks to miss the playoffs for the third consecutive year.

Bleacher Report writer Erik Beaston published NFL playoff bracket predictions for the 2025-26 season:

In the NFC West, he has the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals missing the cut, and the Los Angeles Rams and San Fransisco 49ers making the playoffs.

There is no explanation in the article, he only had write ups for the teams making the playoffs, but I find this to be a little unfair. The Seahawks may have missed the playoffs in 2024, but they did go 10-7 and would've been in the playoff almost any year if it wasn't for the crazy good records in the NFC this season.

Here is their thoughts on the 49ers:

"The San Francisco 49ers had a season to forget in 2024, following up a Super Bowl LVIII appearance with a 6-11 record that landed them in the NFC West basement," Beaston wrote. "With running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk expected back on the offensive side of the ball, and Robert Saleh back as the highest-paid defensive coordinator in NFL history, the red and gold are poised for a comeback that could, and should, see them top a winnable NFC."

Here is their thoughts on the Rams:

"The Los Angeles Rams were the one team with a legitimate shot at knocking off the Eagles this postseason and, barring any drastic trade that sends Matthew Stafford out of Hollywood, should be able to ride underrated back Kyren Williams and a young, explosive defense led by Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse back to the postseason as a wild card in the fifth seed," Beaston wrote.
