Bobby McMann Just Became the Kraken's Best Trade Deadline Move, and It's Not Even Close
The paperwork is done, and Seattle just landed exactly what it needed. Bobby McMann has potted seven goals in his first eight games with the Kraken, and suddenly this low-scoring team has some real juice heading into the stretch run. This is the kind of deadline acquisition that changes the vibe in the locker room.
A Dream First Impression
Seven goals in eight games. Let that sink in for a second. The Kraken have been searching for scoring depth all season, and McMann walks in and immediately makes an impact. Yes, it's a small sample size, but you can't fake production like that. The guy is hungry, he's clicking with his new teammates, and he's not overthinking it. Just hockey. Just goals.
Playoffs Still in Reach
Here's the thing: the Kraken are hanging right around the Western Conference postseason cutoff. They're not in yet, but they're knocking on the door. And now they've got a guy who can actually finish his chances. In a league where depth scoring wins playoff series, McMann arriving at the deadline feels like the team finally caught a break. The front office made a move that actually moves the needle.
Different Energy
McMann's first impression with the Kraken is memorable for all the right reasons, which means he's already turned some heads around Climate Pledge Arena. When your trade deadline pickup scores at this rate, you're not asking questions. You're just grateful the deal got done and you're riding the wave.
The Kraken have their sights set on making noise down the stretch. With McMann in the lineup, suddenly that playoff push doesn't feel like a pipe dream anymore.
