Boye Mafe Is Having An Elite Season For The Seattle Seahawks

Boye Mafe is starting his third season with the Seattle Seahawks and everyone saw the potential coming last season in 2023. In his second season, Boye Mafe was a breakout player that had 9 sacks, while still missing a game due to injury.

2024 has shown that he's even better than he was last year, he has 2 sacks to start the season in 2 games, and he looks like he has elite speed, strength, and awareness.

He also had 15 QB pressures on the year, which is 2nd in the NFL only behind star edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson.

We are all hoping he didn't get too hurt in Week 2 against the Patriots, and will be able to play injury free moving forward.

What's crazy is that Boye Mafe was another piece from the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos trade for Russell Wilson... Those picks ended up being offensive lineman Charles Cross (2022 first-round pick), outside linebacker Boye Mafe (2022 second-round pick), outside linebacker Tyreke Smith (2022 fifth-round pick), cornerback Devon Witherspoon (2023 first-round pick) and edge rusher Derick Hall (2023 second-round pick).

Via Sporting News: "Edge rusher Boye Mafe and defensive end Leonard Williams, who were the most-disruptive front-seven players for the seahawks for the second straight week. Mafe finished the game with five tackles, one sack, two hits and about a million pressures. Meanwhile, Williams went off for four quarterback hits and 1.5 sacks. It's still early in the season, but these two are on a Pro Bowl type trajectory."
