Cal Raleigh's Status Up in the Air as Mariners Prep for Braves Showdown

The Seattle Mariners are gearing up to host the Atlanta Braves, but there's a cloud hanging over T-Mobile Park right now: Cal Raleigh's availability is still a question mark heading into the series.

Your catcher, your leader behind the plate, and one of the cornerstones of this Mariners lineup is dealing with something that has the front office being cautious. With games coming up fast in early May, every roster decision matters. You can't just plug anyone into that spot and expect the same production. Raleigh's presence in the lineup changes how the pitching staff operates, how the team approaches at-bats, and frankly, how confident the whole offense feels.

What's at Stake This Series

The Braves are coming to Seattle, and this is exactly the kind of matchup where you need your full arsenal ready. If Raleigh can't go, the Mariners will be working with a depleted catching situation against one of the National League's tougher opponents. These early May games are where teams start separating themselves from the pack, and losing even one piece of your core lineup can make a difference in close contests.

Moving Forward

The Mariners need clarity and they need it fast. Every day that passes without knowing whether Raleigh is available adds pressure to the dugout. This isn't the time to be managing injuries with guesswork. The Braves series is coming, and Seattle's got to know exactly who's stepping into the batter's box.
