Caleb Wilson Already Knows His NBA Future, and He's Spending His Last Days at UNC Dunking on Everybody

The countdown clock is ticking for one of UNC's biggest basketball talents. Caleb Wilson isn't sweating the draft process anymore. His name is locked in for the first round at Barclays Center on June 23, and he knows it. So while he's still got time left in Chapel Hill, he's making the most of it in the best way possible: showing up to the rec center and reminding everyone in sight that he's a future NBA player.

Wilson's Rising Stock in NBA Mock Drafts

The projections are clear. Wilson has climbed in NBA mock drafts and there's never been any real question about whether he'd leave for the draft. His decision was always going to be "when," not "if." Compare that to teammate Henri Veesaar, who faces a real choice. If Veesaar decides to enter the draft, he could be looking at waiting until the second round. Not the same position. Not even close. Wilson's stock keeps rising, and the NBA front offices have been watching closely.

Making Memories Before the Next Chapter

With his UNC days winding down, Wilson is doing what any competitor would do. He's at the rec center, putting on a show against baseball players, random students, whoever steps up. It's the kind of moment that separates the drafted guy from everyone else on campus. Wilson knows his future is set. His last days as a Tar Heel are about leaving an impression, proving his game translates, and yeah, having some fun before the professional grind takes over.

The NBA Draft at Brooklyn's Barclays Center is coming June 23. By then, Caleb Wilson will be more than just a UNC memory. He'll be somebody else's lottery ticket.
