Darnold Is Running For President (Seriously!) And The Rest Of The NFL Isn't Ready For It
Alright, 12s, you are NOT going to believe what just hit our radar! We’re knee-deep in the early regular season, analyzing every play, every snap from Lumen Field, and then Bleacher Report drops a bombshell that has nothing to do with touchdowns and everything to do with… politics? Our very own Seahawks quarterback, Sam Darnold, is apparently dabbling in a new kind of campaign, and honestly, the Emerald City might never be the same. Our QB, Campaigning For School President? What?!
I’m still rubbing my eyes, but the facts are right there in the "Bulletin Board Material" section of Bleacher Report: a video titled "04:45 Maye & Darnold Run for School President 🗳️". Seriously, is this for real?! Forget scouting reports or early season trends, my dude is out here allegedly running for *school president*. What kind of platform is he running on? "Make the Pocket Great Again"? "A Touchdown in Every Home"? The mind reels! This isn't your usual pre-game chatter, right? It just shows you the wild, unexpected stuff our guys get into off the field. It’s certainly a surprising twist for a quarterback expected to lead our charge this year. While we need him laser-focused on the playbook, this humorous tidbit definitely gives us a peek into the personality behind the helmet. Who knew Darnold had such democratic aspirations, even if it's just a funny clip?Where Do The Hawks Stand In The Big

NFL Picture? While our guy Sam Darnold is making headlines for his... electoral aspirations, the broader NFL conversation is still buzzing. The "Around the NFL" section in this Bleacher Report roundup is talking about the "Most Important NFL Extensions 📄." Now, you know as well as I do that contract talks are always huge for any franchise, shaping the team for seasons to come. Every team has those critical players, those cornerstone guys whose future dictates so much. It's a massive topic that keeps fans and analysts alike on the edge of their seats, wondering who's getting paid and what that means for team budgets and roster construction. What's interesting is that this specific report on "Most Important NFL Extensions" doesn't actually name any of our Seahawks, which, in a way, is a fact unto itself. It leaves us wondering where our key players, like our star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba or our defensive leader Adam Larsson, would stack up on such a league-wide list. Are our guys flying under the radar, or is this just one of those early season reports focusing elsewhere? So, while the rest of the league is getting their contract discussions highlighted, we've got our QB running for school president. You gotta love the unique flavor of Seattle sports, right? We’re early in the regular season, 12s, and every game, every moment, is critical as we see what this squad is truly made of. Let’s keep cheering them on, no matter what off-field adventures they might be having. Go Hawks! This article was created with AI assistance and reviewed by Seattle On Tap editorial staff.
