Dylan Harper's 27-Point Explosion Lifts Spurs Past Trail Blazers in Game 3 Comeback

The San Antonio Spurs just pulled off a playoff rescue mission in Game 3, and a rookie guard nobody was talking about two months ago is the reason why. Dylan Harper dropped a playoff career-high 27 points as the Spurs stormed back from down 15 to take down the Trail Blazers 120-108. This is the kind of performance that changes a series.

Harper Arrives When It Matters Most

Look, we've all seen rookies step up in meaningful moments, but not like this. Harper didn't just contribute, he carried the load. A 27-point playoff career-high on the biggest stage available tells you everything you need to know about his poise and what the Spurs are building around him. The kid came through when the game was tightest and the pressure was heaviest. That's the kind of performance that sticks with your team heading into the next game.

Defense and Support Step Up

Harper didn't do it alone, though. Stephon Castle stepped up big for San Antonio when they needed someone else to answer the bell. The Spurs showed the kind of composure and execution down the stretch that separates teams making real playoff runs from ones packing their bags early.

Series Shifting Momentum

Being down 15 at any point in a playoff game feels like a death sentence. The fact that San Antonio clawed all the way back says something about the character of this roster. Trail Blazers had every chance to put this one away and didn't. Now the Spurs are still very much alive in this series, and Harper has announced himself as someone defenses have to game plan for moving forward. That changes everything about how Portland approaches what comes next.
