Jokić's 25-Point Triple-Double Powers Nuggets Past Timberwolves in Playoff Opener

The Denver Nuggets are off to a perfect start in the postseason. Nikola Jokić did what Nikola Jokić does best, dropping a triple-double to guide Denver to a 116-105 victory over Minnesota in Game 1 of their series. This is playoff basketball at its finest, and the Nuggets just showed everyone why they belong in this conversation.

Jokić Puts On a Clinic

When the stakes get higher, Jokić seems to play even better. He finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists, the kind of all-around performance that makes opposing defenses look helpless. That triple-double to start the playoffs? That's a statement. That's a guy who knows exactly what it takes to win in April and May.

Denver's Defense Steps Up

The Nuggets held Minnesota to just 105 points, and that defense is going to be critical if Denver wants to make a deep run. This wasn't a blowout, but it was dominant enough where the Nuggets controlled the game when it mattered most. Game 1 is always about setting a tone, and Denver sent a message.

What's Next

The Nuggets and Timberwolves are just getting started in this series. Game 1 belongs to Denver, but Minnesota will have to adjust and come back harder. That's the nature of playoff basketball. The question now is whether Denver can keep this going, or if Minnesota finds a way to even things up. The postseason waits for no one.
