Kahleah Copper, DeWanna Bonner, and Alyssa Thomas All Re-Sign With Phoenix Mercury and Nobody's Talking About How Stacked That Roster Just Got
The Phoenix Mercury just locked down three of the biggest names in the WNBA, and it feels like the league should be paying attention. Kahleah Copper, a 4-time All-Star, re-signed with the team. DeWanna Bonner, a 6-time WNBA All-Star, is also back. And Alyssa Thomas? She's staying too. That's not a roster move, that's a statement.
Three Stars, One Franchise
Copper's signature on that contract is a massive deal for Phoenix. She's one of the most reliable scorers in the league, and losing her would have hurt. DeWanna Bonner being locked up is even bigger, honestly. Six All-Star selections don't lie. She's a proven winner and a veteran presence that any championship-contending team needs in the locker room.

What This Means Moving Forward
The Mercury made the smart play here. You don't let players of this caliber walk out the door. Keeping all three under contract signals that Phoenix is serious about building something sustainable, not just chasing one magical run.
These are the kinds of moves that keep a contending team together. The Mercury is saying they believe in this core, and they're putting their money where their mouth is.
