Kid Goes Viral In LLWS For His "Dream Job"

The Little League World Series always gives us wholesome moments, kids dreaming about being in the majors, meeting their favorite player, or hitting the walk-off homer. But this week? We got a curveball.

During introductions, one kid was asked about his dream job, and instead of saying “shortstop for the Yankees” or “quarterback,” he proudly declared: “I want to be an actuary.”

The broadcasters were stunned. You could practically hear the silence as they scrambled to figure out what an actuary even does. (For the record: they calculate risk and probabilities, which is way less sexy than mashing dingers in Williamsport.)

Twitter instantly lit up with clips of the moment, with fans joking that the kid is already “playing Moneyball in real life” and “has higher job security than half the MLB.”

Forget future All-Stars, this kid is on track to be a legend of the insurance industry.
