Kraken Head to Colorado After Tough Loss in Vegas, But There's Still Time to Make Noise
The Seattle Kraken are heading into Wednesday's matchup against the Colorado Avalanche on the back of a rough 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. Not the way you want to roll into a big game, but that's hockey in April. The Kraken have Colorado waiting for them, and they need to shake off what happened in Vegas fast.
A Quiet Night in Sin City
The Kraken couldn't get much going offensively against Vegas, managing just one goal in the loss. When you're putting up that kind of output, you're not going to win many games, period. This is the kind of performance that sticks with a team heading into their next opponent, and Joey Daccord and the defense will want a cleaner effort in front of the net.

Now it's time to reset and focus on the Avalanche. This is a chance to bounce back immediately and show some resilience. The Kraken have the talent on the roster with guys like Jordan Eberle (the captain), Matty Beniers, Jared McCann, and Chandler Stephenson up front. The defense crew of Adam Larsson, Vince Dunn, and Brandon Montour needs to lock things down. Daccord will be critical between the pipes if Seattle wants to get back on track.
Time to Respond
This is what the regular season is all about. You take your lumps, you move on to the next game, and you prove you belong. The Kraken have the pieces to compete. Now they need to show it against a good Colorado team and start stringing together the kind of performance that matters down the stretch. One bad game doesn't define your season, but how you respond to it sure does.
