Bryan Woo Shuts Down the Braves and Seattle Just Claimed Its First Series Win of the Year

The Mariners did something big on Tuesday night. They beat the MLB-leading Atlanta Braves 3-1 to hand them their first series loss of the season, and Bryan Woo was the reason why. The guy looked like himself again on the mound, dominant and in control, and that's exactly what this team needed.

Woo Returns to Form When It Matters Most

Woo returned to dominance in a stellar start that shut down one of baseball's best offenses. The Braves came into T-Mobile Park as the league's best team, but Woo made them look ordinary. This was the kind of performance that reminds you why the Mariners are confident in their rotation when everyone is healthy and locked in.

Cal Raleigh Powers the Offense

The Mariners got a massive boost in their lineup with Cal Raleigh back in the fold. The slugger returned to the lineup as the designated hitter after missing three games, and his presence immediately made a difference. Paired with Julio Rodriguez in the middle of the order, Raleigh gave Seattle's offense the spark it needed to break through against a dominant Braves pitching staff.

A Series Win That Matters

This wasn't just any win. Taking a series from the best team in baseball is a statement. The Mariners put together a complete effort: stellar pitching from Woo, timely hitting from the lineup, and the kind of clutch baseball that wins in early May. With Raleigh back and Woo looking like himself, Seattle has momentum heading into the rest of the week.
