Rockets Won't Go Quietly and the Lakers Can't Seal the Deal

The Lakers couldn't finish the job. Again. Houston forced a Game 6 and the series is still alive, which means we're getting more playoff basketball whether Los Angeles likes it or not.

The Rockets Aren't Done Yet

This is the kind of moment that defines a series. The Lakers had a chance to close things out and end it at home, but Houston had other plans. The Rockets refused to let their season end on someone else's schedule, forcing one more game and dragging this matchup back to Houston with everything still on the line.

These are the games that separate good teams from great ones. It's not about talent or regular season records anymore. It's about who wants it more when the pressure is highest, and the Rockets showed up with something to prove.

The Lakers' Closing Problem

This is becoming a pattern for LA. They're facing the same issue that has haunted plenty of favorites in the postseason: they can't put a desperate opponent away. The Rockets got one more breath of life, and now the series heads back to Houston with Game 6 on the horizon. The Lakers still control their own destiny, but they're going to have to earn it the hard way.

What's Next

Game 6 is coming, and the pressure just shifted. Houston is at home, fighting for survival. Los Angeles has to be ready to close it out on enemy territory, because if there's anything we learned from this game, it's that the Rockets are dangerous when their backs are against the wall.
