Seahawks GM John Schneider Signing Four-Year Extension Through 2030 Season

Seattle Seahawks GM & President of Football Operations, John Schneider, has been a part of the Seahawks franchise. He helped build the team that went to back-to-back Super Bowls, and won one. He help lead this franchise to 15 years of consistency in the NFL.

The Seahawks are rewarding him by giving him a four-year extension with the franchise until the 2030 NFL season. 2030 will be a big milestone year for Schneider and the Seahawks as it will be his 20th NFL season as the General Manger of the Seahawks.

Schneider's previous extension had his contract ending after the 2027 NFL draft.

This extension is a big vote of confidence in John Schneider as he currently made some big changes in the organization. He moved off of Pete Carroll after the 2023 season to hire head coach Mike Macdonald, the youngest coach in the NFL. The Seahawks are showing they believe in his move, and changes within the organization.

There is a real possibility that he ends up spending the rest of his career with the Seattle Seahawks... If this next three to four years goes well with Mike Macdonald and the roster is strong, there is no reason the Seahawks will move off of him anytime soon.
