Oh how sweet this ride has been as a Seattle Mariners fan. It's been a wild ride since 2001, the Mariners never seemed to get it together... Finally two years ago the Mariners made the playoffs, but then missed it the next two year by ONE GAME.
Finally, this year is different. The Mariners have won 15 out of 16 games, they surged their way up to a FOUR GAME lead over the Houston Astros in the AL West with only 5 games to go.
The Mariners have officially clinched the playoffs, and with one more win or one more Astros loss, the Mariners will win the AL West for the first time in 24 years, since 2001. They even have a chance at making the two-seed in the AL and avoid playing in the Wild Card round. This team is special.
Cal Raleigh was so hyped, he even slipped up and had a bad word on the broadcast, but he is ready to win it all. & yes we made a shirt out of it.
