A Mariners win, oh how good it feels. Dan Wilson's first game as manager, Leo Rivas walks it off, and the vibes are good tonight. It was a brutal week being a Mariners fan. After a 1-8 road trip, the Mariners fired manager Scott Servais, and the playoff hopes were slipping away.
The next day after firing Servais, you get a Houston Astros loss, you get a Mariners walk-off win, and the Mariners are back to 4.5 games out of the AL West. Let's not forget, you get FOUR runs in the 8th inning to take a 5-1 deficit to a tied game at 5-5.
Comeback. Walk-off. Fireworks. Dan Wilson's first win. It doesn't get much better than that.

This is the fun part about baseball, despite an awful week, you come out and get the nostalgic feeling back in the building by hiring Dan Wilson and Edgar Martínez, and you get a walk-off win.
The vibes change in one night, even though we don't know how long it will last, we know that FOR TONIGHT, things feel so much better.
One of my favorite things about baseball is what happened tonight.

(Especially for people like me who really enjoy the small things, so don't @ me if you don't)
A brutal road trip, a manager fired, brought in Dan and Edgar, nostalgia. Then go win from a walk off, and then…
Not everyone will feel the way I feel about baseball, and I totally understand, but for me the feelings I had having turnaround night after the disaster we experienced this week, it just makes me love baseball. Also, being 12-1 in the City Connect jerseys is pretty cool.
Don't get me wrong, we aren't 'back,' but if you can ride some of this momentum into the rest of the weekend, things can change quickly. The Astros are playing a dominant team in the Baltimore Orioles, so if you can snag another two wins this weekend, things will look a lot different.
The next two days are going to be some interest matchups, and I can't wait. Blake Snell, a Cy Young winner who is from Seattle and wanted to play here, against George Kirby on Saturday. Then, Cy Young winner and former Mariner Robbie Ray, against Bryan Woo on Sunday.
Really happy for Dan Wilson, happy for these Mariners players, and let's continue this!
