The Seattle Mariners will be start the 2025 season with a completely different coaching staff when it comes to the offense. All three of the hitting coaches the Mariners started with on the MLB level in 2024 will not be with the team in 2025.
Brant Brown was basically the head of the hitting staff last year and he was dismissed half way through the season. At that time, the Mariners also announced that director of hitting strategy Jarret DeHart and assistant hitting coach Tommy Joseph will expand on their roles with the hitters.
Later in the season, the Mariners fired their manager Scott Servais, and at the time Jarrett DeHart, the main hitting coach, was also fired.
Now, after the season has officially ended, Tommy Joseph is leaving the Seattle Mariners organization to head to the Baltimore Orioles.
Mariners will have a completely different hitting staff than they did last year.

*cough cough*... that sounds good to us! https://t.co/jBnMPhakRV
It's hard to say much about the move, other than the fact that most Mariners fans might see this as a good thing considering the Mariners were the second worst hitting team in baseball other than the Chicago White Sox last year.
Now with new manager Dan Wilson, the team can build around an entirely new coaching staff, and specifically when it comes to hitting coaches. The hope of many Mariners fans online seems to be that they hire Edgar Martinez as the head of the hitting coaches department.
Nonetheless, it's a new era in Seattle, and it time to finally figure out a way to get the best out of these guys behind the plate.
