The Seattle Seahawks just changed the game when it comes to fan policing. The Seahawks announced that undercover law enforcement officers will be roaming Lumen Field this season dressed in opposing team jerseys. Yeah, imagine booing a “49ers fan” in the row behind you only to find out he’s a cop waiting for you to cross the line.
The move is designed to crack down on fans violating the team’s code of conduct—stuff like fighting, harassing other fans, and basically acting like a drunk idiot on a $14 beer bender. And while plenty of teams talk about fan safety, Seattle’s the first we’ve seen pull a move this bold.

They will be there to detect guests who are violating the team's fan code of conduct at Lumen Field.

So if you’re a Seahawks fan heading to Lumen, maybe think twice before you scream “go back to San Fran” at the dude in the red jersey next to you. He might just flash a badge instead of a middle finger.
