The Seattle Seahawks didn't make it look easy, but they found a way to pull off an overtime win against the New England Patriots, 23-20. One of the biggest reasons behind the Seahawks win, Geno Smith was ELITE, and found a way to keep the Seahawks in the game the entire time.
The offense wasn't perfect, don't get us wrong, neither was the defense... Yet, the defense made some big stops when really needed, and Geno Smith found a way to get the Seahawks offense some points, and it was enough points to win the game.
Geno Smith was 33/44 (75%), with 327 yards, and 1 touchdown. He found a way to keep the team in the game, even with the offensive line not helping him at all. The group of tight ends and wide receivers also dropped FIVE catches during the game, Geno Smith would've been 38/44 with an 86% completion percentage.
Seahawks QB Geno Smith was ELITE today. This stat line was with FOUR drops from WRs/TEs:

What mattered the most was overtime. The Patriots got the ball first in overtime, and the Seahawks defense showed up and got a stop. Geno Smith then took the Seahawks down the field, and found a way to get them into a really comfortable field goal range to easily win the game.
Jason Myers got the field goal, and the Seahawks won.
Seahawks are now 2-0, and it's the first time since 2020. Teams to start 2-0 since 1990 have made the playoffs 63.8% of the time. So it is safe to say the Seahawks have put themselves in a really good position moving forward.
