Seattle Seahawks WR DK Metcalf GOES OFF In Win vs. Patriots

DK Metcalf has been showing the world why he is becoming one of the best wide receivers in the entire NFL. He has elite speed, and it showed today during the Seattle Seahawks win against the New England Patriots. A go route from the slot and breezed right through the New England Patriots' secondary on a clear coverage bust. The result was a 56-yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith that tied the game at 7 late in the first quarter.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, it was the third-longest touchdown of Metcalf's career and the longest TD the Patriots have allowed since Jonathan Taylor's 67-yard rushing score in 2021.

DK Metcalf did not stop there. The Seahawks had two WRs that had elite games on Sunday during their 23-20 win against the New England Patriots.

Second year WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a game himself with 12 catches, 117 yards, and 9.8 yards per catch today. The best game of his young career.

DK Metcalf also had himself a BIG TIME game. Metcalf had 10 catches, 129 yards, 1 touchdown [56 yard TD], and 12.9 yards per catch.

The Seattle Seahawks now are 2-0 for the first time since 2020. Teams that start 2-0 since 1990 make the playoffs 63.8% of the time.
