The Seattle Seahawks get a big win on the road against the New England Patriots, and start the season 2-0. Seahawks have depended on their defense in back-to-back games to keep them in the game, and then the Seahawks offense has found a way to get some points in the 4th quarter to win it.
There is a lot to improve on moving forward in the NFL season, but there is also something that was very exciting for Seahawks fans to see:
Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He is only 22 years old. The Seattle Seahawks used the 20th pick in the 1st round of the 2023 NFL draft on the young wide receiver, and he had some struggles in his rookie year. Well, based on today, it looks like the Seahawks have found a way to put him in the right spot and they helped him have the best game of his young career on Sunday.
12 catches for 117 yards, and 16 targets his way on Sunday.
If the Seahawks offense is going to be explosive, they will need everyone playing well, which happened today. DK Metcalf had a great weekend, Geno Smith had a great weekend, and Tyler Lockett made some important late-game plays. All of this was without star RB Kenneth Walker as well.
The Seahawks will play the Miami Dolphins at home next week, looking to go 3-0. The Dolphins are likely to be without starting QB Tua Tagovailoa, so we will see what their offense is going to do moving forward in Seattle.
The last time the Seahawks start 3-0 was in the 2020 season, four years ago. 3-0 would give the Seahawks a really special start to a new era with a new head coach in Mike Macdonald.
