Skyline Heads to Sammamish Looking to Snap Early Struggles Against Eastlake JV

The Skyline High School JV football team is heading to Eastlake on Monday night at 6 p.m., and they're coming in desperate to right the ship after a rough start to the season. This is a squad that needs a win, and they know it.

Skyline's Season So Far Has Been Rough

Let's be real: Skyline's early season has been brutal. The Rebels are sitting at 0-0 on the season, but their recent results tell a painful story. Their last game saw them get absolutely dismantled by Tahoma, dropping 33-6 back on September 15. Before that? Games against Issaquah, Bothell, and a trip to Bellevue all got cancelled, so the Tahoma loss is the only meaningful action they've had to build from. That's not ideal when you're trying to find rhythm this early.

Eastlake Is Coming In Hot

The hosts, meanwhile, are also 0-0 but they've got real momentum on their side. Eastlake has been winning games lately. They took down Bothell 14-6 on October 27, beat Bellevue 17-14 on October 20, and absolutely steamrolled Mount Si with a 42-7 victory on October 13. This team knows how to win close games and how to blow the doors off opponents when they're clicking. Skyline is walking into Eastlake High School in Sammamish facing a squad that's been playing championship-level football.

Skyline Needs This One

For Skyline, this is about getting back on track and proving that the Tahoma game was an outlier, not the new normal. A win on the road against a confident Eastlake team would be a statement. A loss? That's two games in a row without a W, and the season starts to feel like it's slipping away.

Kickoff is Monday at 6 p.m. at Eastlake High School. This is the kind of game that defines early seasons. One team walks out with confidence. The other one heads home looking for answers. Skyline needs to be the former.
