Throwback MLB Logos

There have been a lot of amazing logos in Major League Baseball history. Our parent company The Sports On Tap, decided to rank the top 25 throwback logos in MLB history. Where did some Seattle baseball logos come in?
25. Anaheim Angels

Not only is this logo remind you of the movie "Angels in the outfield", but it also adds a great colorway for the Angels.
24. Baltimore Orioles

If you are like me you associate something with each logo. And with this one all I can think of is Cal Ripken Jr.
23. Chicago Cubs

This logo is so simple that it works. This is the old Chicago Cubs logo and it sure feels like it was designed in the early 1900s.
22. Baltimore Orioles

This logo with the Oriole standing on the bird is beautiful. And the birds smiling face makes us all smile.
21. Houston Astros

This is kind of cool because it combines all elements of the Astros. The ball going into orbit and the old Astrodome.
20. Tampa Bay Devil Rays

A cool Devil Ray with the colorway screams 90s baseball. This logo didn't last long but the team still uses it on throwbacks.
19. Detroit Tigers

Very similar to the logo the Tigers use today but a bit of a old school element from the 90s. I love the Tiger going through the "D".
18. Chicago White Sox

Sometimes simplicity kills. Just the word "Sox" and the red handle of the bat is a great old school logo.
17. Philadelphia Phillies

You have to love adding a landmark on the logo. There's a ton going on here but it's nostalgic.
16. Detroit Tigers

This Tigers logo just pops off the screen, why? Well it looks like the Tiger is surprised or shocked. I want to know what the artist was trying to portray here.
15. Toronto Blue Jays

This old Toronto Blue Jays logo is solid. It is a reminder of greater days for the franchise.
14. Minnesota Twins

This logo for the Twins makes too much sense. Two twins between the bridge that separates the Twin cities.
13. St. Louis Cardinals

This is very similar to the logo the Cardinals use today. But today's has a much more modern flair.
12. Brooklyn Dodgers

The Brooklyn Dodgers do not exist anymore. But the Brooklyn Dodgers "B" still resonates and is iconic for baseball fans.
11. Milwaukee Brewers

Overall this is a great logo. The glove fingers represent the letter "M" and the glove and the mitt represent the letter "B".
10. Florida Marlins

This logo is everything good about 1990s baseball. The Marlins won two World Series with this logo.
9. Atlanta Braves

The old Atlanta Braves logo looks like a throwback indeed. You can see the used similar lettering in their more recent logo.
8. Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Red's logo with the guy with the baseball face is perfect. You saw the usage of human-like figures a lot more back in the day.
7. San Diego Padres

An old Padre swinging a baseball bat? How can you not be nostalgic about this?
6. Seattle Mariners

The trident "M" is still used by the Seattle Mariners at times. A great logo with a great colorway.
5. Washington Senators

When Benjamin Franklin is featured on your logo throwing a pitch you deserve to be ranked. I do feel like the Nationals should go back to the Senators name.
4. Seattle Mariners

The best Seattle Mariners logo of all time in our opinion. The simplicity of a "M" inside of the baseball is a thing of beauty.
3. Cleveland Indians

Chief Wahoo is now gone and part of baseball folklore. The team has even changed it's name from the Indians to the Guardains.
2. Seattle Pilots

A logo that didn't last long. The Seattle Pilots played in Seattle for one season before moving to Milwaukee, but one of the most beautiful logos in baseball history.
1. Montreal Expos

One day maybe the Expos could come back. But until then, we can always have a good reminder that they have one of the best logos in baseball history.
