The Christmas Showdown That Already Has Seattle Fans Circling Calendars

Alright, 12s, you know we're always bleeding blue and green, always looking for that next big play from Lumen Field or a bomb from Julio at T-Mobile Park. And while we're still waiting for our Mariners to really hit their stride and give us those daily headlines, a little bit of future news just dropped that has us ready to fast forward to December. The NFL officially dropped the full 2026 schedule, and guess what's already on everyone's mind? A Christmas Day showdown right here in the Emerald City, as our Seahawks will host the Rams!

Future Shock: Hawks Gearing Up for a Holiday Bash

I mean, COME ON! A Christmas Day game? Against the Rams?! This isn't just any game, 12s, this is a statement. The NFL officially dropped the full 2026 schedule, and right there, shining brighter than any holiday light, is our beloved Seahawks hosting a division rival. FOX is already hyping up five storylines to watch for this Rams-Seahawks Christmas Game. You know Coach Macdonald and OC Fleury are already pouring over film, thinking about how to unleash Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp on that national stage. This isn't just a game; it's a chance to show the whole damn league what we're made of, and it’s going to get Lumen Field absolutely rocking. It’s a gift under the tree for the 12s, even if it feels a million miles away, and you can bet we’re already counting down the days.

Beyond the Emerald City: College Commits and MLB Surprises

Now, I know we're living and breathing Seattle sports, but let's take a quick look around the league, shall we? You got college recruiting news making waves, with some big names heading to powerhouse programs. For instance, the coveted 2027 tight end Brock Williams just committed to Texas, a huge get for them. And out in Michigan, Charles Woodson Jr., son of the legendary Charles Woodson, is set to carry on his family legacy with the Wolverines, a three-star safety in the Class of 2027. It’s always wild to see those legacies being built, even if it’s not for our Huskies.

And on the diamond, while we're watching Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez absolutely mash for our Mariners, there's some buzz happening across the league. The Chicago White Sox, of all teams, are finally getting things together. They've moved above .500 for the first time since 2023, sweeping the Royals with their fifth straight win! That's a turnaround. Even the Detroit Tigers' ace, Tarik Skubal, is already playing catch, which is good news for them. The Dodgers, too, managed to salvage a series split against the Giants thanks to Emmet Sheehan, though the Brewers are still figuring out if Christian Yelich needs an IL stint for his back. It just goes to show, every team's got their own story unfolding right now, even if we’re always dialed into ours.
