The Mets Just Showed Up and Buried the Rockies' Season in One Night

The New York Mets flexed their offensive muscle Wednesday and handed Colorado their sixth straight loss, a brutal stretch that has the Rockies looking lost right now. This isn't just another mid-May game. This is the kind of performance that tells you everything about where these two teams stand.

Mets' Bats Were Locked In

When a team displays power like the Mets did, it's hard to stop them. That's exactly what happened in this matchup. The Mets came to play and made it look easy against a Rockies team that has completely unraveled over the past week. Six straight losses is the kind of streak that gets fans thinking dark thoughts about the season ahead.

Colorado's Losing Streak Just Keeps Growing

The sixth straight loss for the Rockies isn't just a number. It's a pattern. It's momentum in the wrong direction. It's the kind of thing that makes you wonder what's broken and how long it's going to take to fix it. Meanwhile, the Mets are rolling, and they showed no mercy in Las Vegas.

This Is What Early Season Form Looks Like

There's a massive gap forming between the teams that can hit and the teams that can't. The Mets proved they belong in the conversation with the league's better offensive teams. The Rockies, meanwhile, are in free fall. In early May, this is exactly when momentum matters most. One team is building something. The other is watching their season slip away one game at a time.
