The Seattle Mariners Are On The Verge Of Doing Something Not Done Since 1937...

It's been no secret that the Seattle Mariners' biggest strength lies in their pitching and their biggest weakness lies in their batting. Frustrating, to say the least, because our batting has let down our pitching over and over again. Wasting a starting rotation as strong as the one the Mariners have this year feels criminal. But just how historically weird has this season been? Well, the Mariners have the best ERA (3.53) in baseball and the worst batting average (.216). And well, this hasn't happened since 1937. Insane. You'd think this would happen more often. But this season hasn't only been frustrating, it has been historic.
