The Seattle Mariners season is officially year, the 2025 season starts tonight against the Athletics. While the Mariners were missing the playoffs by just one game three of the last four years, they were quietly one of just five MLB teams with 85+ wins in each of the last four seasons.
This team has been a lot more solid than the fans reactions make it out to be. Yet, there is clearly a reason the fans get upset. The Mariners have struggled to get any impact free agents, while the ownership is unwilling to spend a lot of money. Still with this pitching staff, they have found a way to keep getting 85+ wins every year.
The good news, the Mariners are coming into the season with their roster healthy. Young bats need to show up to be good, while we know the pitching staff will be a Top 5 staff in the MLB.
