It's not a lie that TIME FLIES, considering the fact that it was the two-year anniversary of the Seattle Mariners playoff comeback win against the Toronto Blue Jays. That was the last postseason win for the Mariners.
The Mariners truly had a special run in 2022, beat the Blue Jays in the Wild Card round two games to none, but unfortunately could not get a win against the Houston Astros in the ALDS.
This was one of the most exciting games in Mariners history as they came back from DOWN BIG in Toronto.

Unfortunately, they have missed the playoffs by 1 game in the standings in back-to-back years in 2023 and 2024.
From Brady Farkas on Sports Illustrated: "In that game, the Mariners came back to win by a score of 10-9. After initially trailing 8-1, the M's scored four runs in the sixth inning to make it 8-5. They then trailed 9-5 before getting four more runs in the eighth inning to make it 9-9. The Adam Frazier double above gave the M's the eventual 10-9 win."
It's been a sad run since that day, they had many chances to beat the Astros in the next round, but didn't do it. Since then, nothing has gone our way.
Mariners fans are in bad need of some consistency from this franchise, and we just can't seem to get it at all, it never happens. Every year there is another excuse and the fans have to watch players underperform and miss the playoffs by 1 game.
As always, there is always next year.
