When the Seattle Seahawks season started, you would've been called CRAZY to say they would go 14-3 and then land in the Super Bowl... Somehow, they pulled it off. The best defense in the world, and Sam Darnold played elite football against the Rams in the NFC Championship to head to the Super Bowl.
The season series between the Rams and Seahawks has been insane, but it was capped off with Seattle on TOP. This time, the conference championship was at stake, and the Seahawks advanced to face the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. They got a standout game from quarterback Sam Darnold on the biggest stage of his career and a late, fourth-down stop to thank for it.
Darnold, who’s been surrounded by questions about his ability in big games, answered them all with the game of his career. Darnold completed 25 of 36 passes for 346 yards with 3 touchdowns. And, unlike in previous high-profile collapses, he didn’t turn the ball over.
You had an insanely good game from Kenneth Walker, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Nick Emmanwori, and Devon Witherspoon. So many big time moment from these YOUNG big time players.
The part that makes it even more exciting is that the Seahawks get to face the Patriots in a revenge game. Go win the Super Bowl. PLEASE.
