The Six Words Zlatan Said About Lamine Yamal That Tell You Everything About Spain's World Cup Run
Alright, Emerald City, can we just take a minute? Because what we just saw on the world stage with Spain's 4-0 absolute demolition of Saudi Arabia in the World Cup was pure magic, and one young phenom just dropped jaws everywhere. Lamine Yamal, who we even saw a 'Mini Lamine Yamal' spotted before the game, not only opened his FIFA World Cup account, but he did it in a way that made the legendary Zlatan himself sit up and declare, "He brings something nobody else has." You hear that? Zlatan, the man who practically invented swagger, is saying this kid is different. If that doesn't get your blood pumping for what's coming, I don't know what will!
Spain's Domination and a Double from Oyarzabal
This wasn't just a win, folks, it was a statement. Spain came out firing, and frankly, Saudi Arabia had no answers. It wasn't just Yamal making waves, though his goal was definitely a highlight. Mikel Oyarzabal was in absolute beast mode, putting on an unforgettable first-half performance where he bagged two goals himself. Seriously, two goals! And don't forget Cucurella, who cranked out a volley that forced an own goal, helping Spain cruise to that dominant 4-0 lead. When the final whistle blew, the scoreboard confirmed it: Spain 4, Saudi Arabia 0. This team is locked in, and with a talent like Yamal already lighting up the biggest stage, you gotta wonder how far they can go.

The Stars and Stripes Keep Rolling, USA Advances
But wait, there's more good news for us here in the States! Our very own USMNT is absolutely on fire in the World Cup too. They took down Australia with a solid 2-0 win and, just like that, the USA has advanced to the Round of 32! It wasn't without some drama, of course. We saw Alex Freeman's goal stand after VAR stepped in and overturned an initial offside call, which, let's be real, had us all holding our breath. And the US took an early lead, thanks to an own goal. Big names like Clint Dempsey and Javier Hernández were already breaking down the win, and legends Juan Pablo Ángel and Thiago Alcântara are already talking about how the USMNT should approach Türkiye next. Coach Bob Bradley is already praising our dangerous offense, and even Zlatan, yep, that Zlatan, is out there saying the United States can win the 2026 FIFA World Cup! Plus, Mauricio Pochettino weighed in on the win and advancement. Major bummer though, Christian Pulisic was out against Australia, and Folarin Balogun just opened up on his decision to play for the United States, showing the commitment is real. This squad is for real, 12s, and we're just getting started!
So, what's next? Spain just dropped a bomb on the tournament, proving they're a force, and the USMNT is charging hard into the Round of 32. This World Cup is heating up fast, and we're here for every single second of it. Keep those eyes peeled, because if Yamal keeps performing like Zlatan says, and the US keeps pushing, this could be an unforgettable tournament. Let's go, football!
