The Super Bowl LX Banner Is UP At VMAC, And The Seahawks Are Not Done Eating!

Alright, 12s, get ready to feel that championship buzz all over again because it got REAL at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center! The Seahawks officially raised our Super Bowl LX championship banner this past Friday, May 22, a screaming testament to that epic victory against the Patriots. Can you believe it? The confetti might be swept away, but that glory is now permanently etched in our indoor practice facility, and let me tell you, it’s giving us LIFE! Seeing that thing go up makes you remember every single play, every heart-stopping moment from that incredible run. And speaking of legends, our guy Cliff Avril was out there repping the Emerald City, throwing heat on the other side of the world. What a week for the Hawks!

Super Bowl LX Glory Is Officially Etched in Stone

That banner, man. It’s not just fabric hanging from the rafters. It’s a symbol of pure grit, relentless determination, and absolutely dominating the competition to bring home the Super Bowl LX title. Hanging high in the indoor practice facility at VMAC, it serves as a daily, in-your-face reminder for every player, every coach, every staff member: this is what we strive for here. This is the standard we’ve set. Seeing that majestic banner, celebrating our hard-fought victory over the Patriots, makes you want to run through a wall, right? It doesn’t just honor the past, it absolutely fuels the fire for what’s next, and you know Coach Macdonald is already channeling that energy to push these guys even harder. We've tasted the pinnacle of victory, and let's be real, we’re absolutely ravenous for more.

Legends Overseas While The Grind Starts Here

While that incredible banner was going up here in Renton, our own Seahawks Legend Cliff Avril was out there making headlines in Tokyo! On Friday, May 22, he had the distinct honor of throwing the ceremonial first pitch at the Yomiuri Giants versus Hanshin Tigers game, right there at the iconic Tokyo Dome. Talk about repping the Hawks globally, proving that the 12s’ reach extends far beyond the Puget Sound! Plus, a few days earlier on May 19, Avril even linked up with the WARRIORS, The University of Tokyo's American Football Club, sharing some wisdom and Hawk spirit. How cool is that? Our legends are true ambassadors for the Emerald City.

But back home, make no mistake: the grind for the next Super Bowl has already begun, baby! The Hawks are officially kicking off their 2026 OTAs, those voluntary organized team activities. It’s still early season, but these guys are clocking in, putting in the work without hesitation. They wrapped up a solid week of workouts on Thursday, May 21, and were back at it, putting in serious effort on Wednesday, May 20, all happening right there at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Coach Mike Macdonald even recapped the two-day rookie minicamp with genuine enthusiasm, calling it "a great rookie camp." You know he’s getting these new guys, like our fresh draft pick Jadarian Price, ready to ball out from day one. This team is already building something special, brick by powerful brick.

So, the banner is up, etched in history and inspiring all who see it. Our legend is shining bright on the global stage. And most importantly, the team is grinding harder than ever, ready to fight for more glory. With a massive six primetime games on the 2026 schedule, including an epic Christmas showdown right here at Lumen Field, the Emerald City is about to get LOUDER than ever before. Get ready, 12s, because this season is going to be absolutely electric. Go Hawks!
