There have been some really bad NFL teams throughout the years. But these ones take the word bad to new heights. Here are the worst NFL teams of all time. 

25. 1978 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-11)

This was the second season in existence for the Buccaneers. They did that with a league low 161 points while allowing 28.3 PPG.

24. 1986 New York Jets (4-12)

Ken O'Brien at QB threw 16 INTs and they had the worst ranked running game in the league. The 4 wins earned them last in the AFC East.

Romeo Crennel's defense was atrocious. they gave up 5.8 yards per play. All three of the wins came against teams that were below .500.

Sam Bradford had a very disastrous  8.9 touchdown percentage. And Steve Spagnulolo's defense gave up 32.7 points per game.

Jeff George's rookie season was a complete mess. They had a ton of roster cuts and a bad offseason which depleted the team.

Urban Meyer was a complete disaster as an NFL head coach. The defense allowed 30.4 points per game the worst in the league.

They had a run and shoot offense under coach Sid Gillman and it flopped. QB Dan Pastorini threw 20 INTs.

Adam Gase put Sam Darnold back years. And the defense was an absolute disaster. Both wins came against last place teams.

The Seahawks offense was atrocious under Tom Flores. They put up a staggering 8.8 points per game earning the nickname "Ground Zero". Cortez Kennedy was the lone bright spot on the team.

OJ Simpson's first year with the Bills he rushed for just 742 yards. They allowed 31 points per game and came out with just one win.

It was a strike shortened season but the Colts got just 1 tie during it. The offense sputtered and basically was non existent.

The Bills were only able to put 194 points total the whole season. But, it did lead the Bills to getting the pick to draft Jim Kelly.

Zac Taylor's first year resulted in two wins. This was behind QBs Andy Dalton and Ryan Finley.

Lane Kiffin's first and only season as the Raiders head coach. Jamarcus Russell was also a disaster and this was a season to forget.

In 1995 they finished 10-6. But then the following season was a disaster. The QBs were both Neil O'Donnell and Chad Pennington.

They came back for some extra misery under Hue Jackson. They won their opener then went on to drop 15 straight.

6. 2000 San Diego Chargers (1-15)

This foreshadowed how big of a bust Ryan Leaf would be. 18 Interceptions and a 50 passer rating for Leaf. 

5. 2007 Miami Dolphins (1-15)

Cam Cameron's offense managed 16.7 points per game. And the QBs were a disaster in Cleo Lemon and John Beck. 

4. 2001 Carolina Panthers (1-15)

George Seifert at head coach this team was a disaster. Rookie QB Chris Weinke couldn't get it done and 15 of their losses were by double digits.

They were a brand new expansion franchise and were never competitive. They scored a total of 125 points all season long.

The defense was horrid. They gave up 517 points (32.3 per game) and the offense struggled under Jon Kitna. It was the beginning of a 8 year playoff drought.

They were a product of poor QB play. The offense couldn't score with just 18.7 points per game. And Hue Jackson simply could not find any spark.
