Worst Quarterbacks To Ever Start An NFL Game

Seattle On Tap Edit

There have been some great QBs and some horrible QBs in NFL History. These are the worst Quarterbacks to ever start an NFL game.

25. Matt McGloin

Seattle On Tap Edit

He was a undrafted backup that got forced into a few starting roles for the Raiders in 2013. He finished his career with 11 TDs to 11 INTs.

24. Rusty Smith

Seattle On Tap Edit

Even his name sounds like it would be a starter in the NFL. Rusty Smith started one game for the Titans in 2010. He had 3 INTs and no TDs and was never seen again.

23.Max Hall

Seattle On Tap Edit

Started three games for the Cardinals in 2010. He put up an impressively bad zero TDs to six interceptions and a 35.7 passer rating.

22. Kellen Clemens

Seattle On Tap Edit

21 games as a starter in his career. He had 16 TDs to 21 INTs. He looked incompetent the whole time.

21. Jeff Tuel

Seattle On Tap Edit

The Washington State Cougar threw for 229 yards with 1 TD to 2 INT and then never started another game after one for the Bills.

20. Tim Tebow

Seattle On Tap Edit

Sure Tim Tebow had some miracle wins. But let's be honest, he had a 48% completion percentage which is historically bad.

19. Brandon Weeden

Seattle On Tap Edit

He was drafted at 28 years old by the Browns. He was a complete disaster as a starter.

18. Kyle Boller

Seattle On Tap Edit

Drafted in the first round and full of hope to become the Ravens full-time starter he was straight up bad. He threw 48 TDs to 54 INTs.

17. Blaine Gabbert

5-22 as a Jaguars starter. That's bad but his 56.2% completion rate is even worse.

16. John Skelton

Seattle On Tap Edit

He started 17 games for the Cardinals somehow. He ended up with 15 TDs and 25 INTs and a 63.0 passer rating.

15. Ken Dorsey

Seattle On Tap Edit

Dorsey had a great college career. NFL, well, not so much. He had eight TDs to 18 picks and a rating under 60.

14. Browning Nagle

Seattle On Tap Edit

He was dubbed the future QB of the Jets. Well, the future wasn't bright. He finished his career with 7 TDs to 17 INTs.

13. DeShone Kizer

Seattle On Tap Edit

He went a staggering 0-15 as the Browns starter in 2017. That season he finished with 11 TDs and 22 INTs.

12. Mike Glennon

Seattle On Tap Edit

Glennon somehow got a huge contract by the Bears. His career finished with a horrible 6-25 record as a starter.

11. Curtis Painter

Seattle On Tap Edit

Palmer went 0-8 as a starter in his career. He is better known for backing up Peyton Manning.

10. Jimmy Clausen

Seattle On Tap Edit

Clausen went 1-13 in his career. He had 7 TDs to 14 INTs. Big name, no game.

9. Matt Barkely

Seattle On Tap Edit

The journeyman was forced to start at times. He had a 11 TD to 22 INT stat line in his career.

8. Josh Rosen

Seattle On Tap Edit

Rosen was the 10th overall pick by the Cardinals. He went 3-13 as a starter and his career disappeared.

7. Heath Shuler

Seattle On Tap Edit

Taken 3rd overall with plenty of promise. However, the promise turned to nightmares he had 15 TDs in his career to 33 INTs.

6. Rick Mirer

Seattle On Tap Edit

Seahawks took Mirer 2nd overall in 1993. He ended up throwing 15 more INTs than TDs and bounced around the league.

5. Dan McGwire

Seattle On Tap Edit/ MLB.com

The 6 foot 8 brother of Mark McGwire was a disaster. He ended up starting just 5 games in his career and threw 2 TDs in just 5 starts.

4. Spergon Wynn

Seattle On Tap Edit/ MLB.com

Spergon couldn't win (pun intended). He threw 1 TD and 7 INTs and was drafted before Tom Brady.

3. Ryan Leaf

Seattle On Tap Edit

One of the biggest busts in NFL history. He wasted all the talent in the world and his career vanished.

2. Nathan Peterman

Seattle On Tap Edit

Peterman had five INTs in just one half. His career passer rating was under 35.

1. JaMarcus Russell

Seattle On Tap Edit

The Ultimate bust. Zero work ethic and out of the league in just three years.

How about Kendall Hinton? Started 1 game for the Broncos. 1-9 passing for 13 yds and 2 INTs
