This has been a season of a lot of ups and downs for the Seattle Mariners. The team was a comfortable 10 games up in the AL West in June and now find themselves fighting their way up to catch the Houston Astros on top of the division. But just how up and down has this season been? Well, their home vs away stats sure show what the major flaw of this team is.
Well, the numbers do reflect just how different this Mariners team has been from home vs. away. The Mariners are 13 games above .500 at home and 11 games below .500 on the road. If the team could just be a .500 team on the road, we'd be sitting pretty at first place in the division. But in reality, it makes somewhat sense, the Mariners have one of the best pitching advantages at home in Major League Baseball and, with one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, it makes sense why we happen to be so good at home.As you a teams are better at home than away? Best at home on the right.
