Timothée Chalamet Drained a Three at MSG and the Knicks Immediately Offered Him a 10-Day Deal

The New York Knicks are so locked in right now that they're recruiting Hollywood to join the squad. On Tuesday night, actor and notorious Knicks superfan Timothée Chalamet posted a carousel of photos to Instagram that included him swishing a contested three-pointer inside an empty Madison Square Garden. The Knicks saw that and didn't hesitate: "Check your DMs we just sent you a 10-day," they joked in the comments.

The Knicks Are in Full Swagger Mode

New York just demolished the Philadelphia 76ers 137-98 in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series, and Karl-Anthony Towns was a huge part of it. Towns finished with 17 points, six rebounds, and six assists, and he was apparently so impressed with Chalamet's courtside energy that he pulled the actor aside for a whisper in his ear during the blowout.

Chalamet wasn't just any fan in the building either. The "Dune" and "Marty Supreme" actor skipped the Met Gala for the second straight year to be at MSG instead. His girlfriend Kylie Jenner chose differently and hit the fashion event, but Chalamet's priorities were clear: playoff basketball beats high fashion when your team is rolling.

A Superfan's Love Language

Chalamet has been a fixture courtside at Knicks games all season, normally showing up alongside Jenner and other celebrities like Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, and Spike Lee. In his Instagram post, he also included a photo of himself at Tyler Kolek's locker and showed off three pairs of Anthony Edwards' Adidas AE 2 signature sneakers, which Edwards responded to with a simple "Yea Killa" in the comments.

Game 2 is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN at the Garden, and if Chalamet actually responds to that Knicks DM, well, we might just see him on television in a New York uniform someday instead of from the sidelines.
