Vegas Just Named the NFL's Most Hopeless Team for 2026 and It's Not Even Close
The offseason moves are done. The draft class has been assigned lockers. And Vegas has already written off one NFL team before a single preseason snap gets taken.
The Arizona Cardinals are sitting at +2000 odds to make the playoffs in 2026, the longest shot in the entire league according to Pro Football Talk. That's not a toss-up. That's Vegas saying "don't bet your money on this."

Look, the Cardinals tried. They drafted running back Jeremiyah Love at No. 3 overall. They added Carson Beck to compete in the quarterback room. On paper, those moves sound like steps forward. But here's the thing: everyone in the league knows Arizona is still hunting for their franchise guy. This season isn't about winning games. It's about evaluating what they've got and preparing to find their next long-term QB in the 2027 draft.
That's a tank year in every way except the name. Vegas sees it. The bookmakers see it. And frankly, so does everyone else watching the NFL.
The Rest of the League Is Moving Forward
Some teams nailed the offseason. Others added solid pieces to build something real. The Cardinals? They're stuck in neutral, and the betting markets have punished them accordingly. When your odds to make the playoffs are +2000, you're not just an underdog. You're a team the professional money has given up on before Week 1 even happens.
The 2026 season is coming fast. For Arizona, it's going to be a long one.
