Framber Valdez Lost His Mind and Drilled Trevor Story After Getting Shelled for 10 Runs

Things got real ugly in Detroit on May 5th. Houston Astros pitcher Framber Valdez got absolutely pounded by the Red Sox, then took his frustration out on Trevor Story with a fastball that sent the benches clearing. Yeah, you read that right. Ten runs allowed, and it all boiled over in one moment that had everyone on their feet.

Valdez Got Shelled Early

The Red Sox came out swinging and Valdez had no answer. Boston put up 10 runs on 12 hits with no errors, and the Astros could only muster 3 runs on 7 hits. This wasn't a competitive outing. This was a disaster. When you're giving up double digits in a game that matters, something is seriously broken, and Valdez was the guy tasked with stopping the bleeding. He couldn't.

Then He Snapped

After getting pulled following that brutal performance, Valdez's composure completely fell apart. He threw at Trevor Story, drilling the Red Sox batter in what looked like a direct response to getting shelled. The benches cleared immediately, and the situation escalated from bad to worse in seconds. It's the kind of move that gets you fined and gets your team talking about discipline, not about what went wrong on the mound.

Red Sox Walk Away with the W

Brayan Bello got the win for Boston, while Valdez took the loss. The final was 10-3, and it wasn't even close. Houston's got some serious questions to answer about their pitching depth and Valdez's ability to keep his cool when things fall apart. This is the kind of game that sticks with a team, and not in a good way.
