Jacoby Brissett Is Finally Showing Up, And The Cardinals' QB Situation Just Got Insane

Alright, 12s, you gotta see this. While we're out here dreaming of Sam Darnold throwing bombs to Jaxon Smith-Njigba at Lumen, our "friends" down south in Arizona are in full-blown quarterback chaos. Seriously, it's wild. The biggest news out of the desert today? Quarterback Jacoby Brissett is finally set to report to their minicamp. Yeah, you heard that right, finally. This isn't just some casual update, folks. This is a tremor in the NFC West, and we need to talk about what it means for our Hawks when it comes time to face those birds.

The Brissett Holdout Is OVER... For Now

Remember all that talk about a Jacoby Brissett "holdout" just a week or so ago? Well, scratch that. According to reports, the man is showing up. It felt like forever, but he's stepping into what is already a completely crowded and chaotic quarterback room for the Cardinals. This isn't just a new face showing up for practice, either. NFL.com was out there making predictions, saying Brissett was going to get a raise and start the season for Arizona. Think about that. They were banking on him being the guy, and now he's just walking into this mess after being a no-show. It’s a total head-scratcher, honestly. What kind of message does that send?

A Quarterback Room Ready to Explode

So, Brissett is in the building. Great. But he's not walking into an empty locker room, not by a long shot. This Cardinals team has been a full-on quarterback circus for weeks now. We've got rookie QB Carson Beck, who their head coach is reportedly giving "a full thumbs-up" to. A rookie getting that kind of praise this early? That's not nothing. Then there's Gardner Minshew, who's been "using his time for the starting QB job." He's been grinding, trying to prove himself as the starter. Now you throw Brissett, the guy NFL.com predicted would start, into that mix? It’s not a competition, it's a battle royale, Emerald City style! Harrison, from the Cardinals, even said earlier, "I guess it's an ongoing process still." You think? It’s more like an ongoing explosion.

What This Means for Our Hawks

Look, the more instability and confusion for our division rivals, the better for our beloved Seahawks. While Mike Macdonald and Brian Fleury are surely locking in with Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp, it's always good to keep an eye on the opposition. This kind of quarterback drama is pure gold for us. It means the Cardinals are still figuring out their identity, still trying to find their leader. We’ve got Sam Darnold leading the charge, and our guys are putting in the work. The Cardinals are still trying to figure out if it’s Brissett, Beck, or Minshew. When the schedule comes around, and we line up against them, let's hope their "ongoing process" is still, well, ongoing! Get ready, 12s, because this season is going to be a wild ride, and every bit of chaos in the NFC West helps us. Go Hawks!
