Mackenzie Holmes Leads Storm Off the Bench in Road Victory

The Seattle Storm picked up a crucial win on the road, beating the Connecticut Sun 89-82 in a game where their bench production made all the difference. Mackenzie Holmes, coming off the bench, played a key role in the victory that keeps the Storm moving in the right direction early in the season.

Holmes Makes an Impact From the Bench

When the Storm needed a spark, Holmes delivered. Playing in a reserve role, she showed exactly why she's part of Seattle's rotation. The Gorham native brought energy and productivity when her team called on her, contributing to a balanced offensive attack that overwhelmed Connecticut down the stretch.

Storm Defense Shuts Down the Sun

This wasn't a shootout. Seattle's defense held the Connecticut Sun to just 82 points, forcing them to earn every bucket. The Storm's ability to tighten up defensively in crucial moments proved to be the difference maker, with the team holding Connecticut well below 90 points despite playing on the road.

The 89-82 final score reflects a Storm team that's learning how to grind out wins without having to light up the scoreboard. That kind of disciplined basketball is exactly what Seattle needs to stay competitive as the season progresses. With Holmes proving she can make an impact whenever she checks in, the Storm have another piece they can count on moving forward.
