Nelly Korda Claimed Her 2nd Straight Major with a Perilous Final Putt, And The LPGA Is Officially On Notice

Holy smokes, did you guys see what Nelly Korda just pulled off? It went down at Riviera Country Club, and if you blinked, you might have missed one of the most clutch moments we’ve seen in a minute! Nelly Korda didn’t just win the U.S. Women’s Open title, she absolutely clinched her second straight major with a perilous final putt. We're talking about a long-awaited crown for this Epson Tour Graduate, and she delivered it in style on June 7, 2026. If you thought she was good before, get ready, because she's hitting another level.

The Perilous Putt That Sealed It All

Seriously, this was the kind of putt that makes you gasp. The source tells us it was a "perilous final putt" and you know what that means. The pressure was immense, the stakes were sky-high, and Korda just stepped up and drained it to capture the U.S. Women's Open crown. It wasn't just any win, either. This was a "long-awaited" victory at Riviera Country Club, something she's been chasing. To get it done with that kind of finish? That's the stuff legends are made of. You have to wonder how many times she practiced that exact shot, and then to execute it when it mattered most. That’s pure ice in her veins, folks.

Two Straight Majors: What's Next For Korda?

Let’s talk about that "second straight major" bit because that's not just a fluke, that's a pattern of pure, unadulterated excellence. Winning one major is tough enough, but two in a row? That puts Korda in an elite class. Think about what this means for the Rolex ANNIKA Major Award Standings, too. She's not just playing golf, she's rewriting the narrative for what's possible. Other players like Kiara Romero, Charley Hull, Gaby Lopez, and Sei Young Kim were all at the U.S. Women's Open too, but Korda was the one walking away with the hardware. She’s showing the entire LPGA tour that she’s here to dominate, and frankly, who's going to stop her?

So, what’s on deck for the golf phenom? The next stop is the Dow Championship, scheduled for June 11-14, 2026, in Midland, Michigan. After pulling off a win like that at the U.S. Women's Open, you just know all eyes are going to be on Korda. Can she keep this incredible run going? Will she make it three in a row? This isn't just a streak, this is a statement. Get ready for more fireworks, because Korda is just getting started!
