Oregon Just Stole One of Washington's Top Stars, And We All Should Be Fuming

Alright, Seattle, listen up, because I'm still spitting mad about this. Just when you think you've got a handle on the regional talent, those Ducks down south swoop in and snatch one of our own. A local high school star, a legit top prospect from Washington, committed to Washington State, and just FOUR DAYS LATER, Oregon football *flips* him. Are you kidding me?! This is exactly the kind of move that burns the Emerald City faithful, knowing top-tier talent from our state is heading to Eugene.

A Washington Kid Heading South? Come On!

Seriously, this kid is a star tight end. The buzz around him was massive, making him one of the top prospects right here in Washington. For him to commit to WSU, just a few days later, Oregon swoops in and makes him one of *their* top prospects, aiming to keep him "home" in Oregon. It stings, plain and simple. We want to see Washington's best stay in Washington, developing here, playing here, and making our state proud. It’s a wake-up call that we need to fight harder to keep these players from crossing state lines. Every time a talent like this leaves, it feels like a punch to the gut for the entire state's football future.

Meanwhile, Elsewhere in Sports...

And while we're fuming over that, the NBA Finals are heating up, I guess. Game 3 is tonight, with all the action hitting New York City. You can even stream it free if you're so inclined. Oh, and get this, even Trump showed up to the party. Look, I'm happy for the teams involved, but it's just another reminder of what could be, what *should* be, right here in Seattle. We know our city could host those kinds of spectacles, with fans that would blow the roof off. But for now, we're watching from afar. It’s June, and while we're not exactly in the heat of fall camp, these kinds of recruiting battles are crucial for the future of football in our state. We gotta keep our eyes on the prize and make sure the next big star stays right here. We deserve to see our local talent shine in Washington. Let's hope this doesn't become a trend, because we bleed green and blue here, and losing out on our own prospects is a tough pill to swallow.
