Our Seattle Storm Just Slammed 97 Points on the Mystics and the Emerald City Noticed

WOO HOO, Seattle! You hear that? That's the sound of the Storm absolutely *crushing* it at Climate Pledge Arena! The Mystics rolled back into town on May 26, 2026, hoping for a different outcome in their return visit to Seattle, but our Storm said "nah, not tonight, fam!" We didn't just win, we *owned* them, putting up a massive 97 points against their 85. That's a 12-point W, baby, and it feels GOOD to see our squad making such a definitive statement this early in the season!

97 Points: What That Early Season Explosion Means For Our Storm

Let's talk about those 97 points for a second, because that number isn't just some random stat, it's a vibe! This isn't some exhibition game, it's the regular season, and in the early goings, every single game, every bucket, it sets a tone. Dropping 97 on the Mystics, especially after they played us again right here in Seattle, that's not just a win, that's a statement. It tells the entire WNBA that our offense is clicking, that we're here to play, and we're here to score in bunches. You can feel the energy building with every possession. When the team is putting up numbers like that, the confidence just radiates through Climate Pledge. The Mystics wanted a different story in this rematch, but we made sure the ending was exactly the same: a Storm victory!

Holding Them to 85: The Other Side of a Dominant Performance

Now, while our offense was electric, let's not forget the other end of the court! Holding the Washington Mystics to 85 points? That's solid, man. You can't just be a scoring machine in this league, you gotta lock it down defensively too. In the early stages of the season, seeing both sides of the ball working in sync like that, it's just *chef's kiss*. It means we're not just running and gunning, we're playing smart, disciplined defense, forcing tough shots, and making teams earn every single point. That kind of balance, that kind of commitment on both ends, is what championship teams are made of, and it's what we expect from our Storm. The Emerald City is absolutely buzzing with what we're seeing! So, what's next for our Storm? Every game counts. Every single one. We keep building, we keep grinding, and we keep proving what we're capable of. This isn't just a single win, it's momentum, it's showing the league what happens when they step into Climate Pledge Arena. You know the vibe, 12s, we ride with our Storm through thick and thin! Let's keep that incredible energy going, because this team is just getting started, and there's so much more to look forward to this season!
