Raducanu Played Two Matches in Five Hours and Nobody in Tennis Is Ready For It

Dude, you're not gonna believe what Emma Raducanu pulled off. Seriously, if you blinked, you missed her absolutely owning the court. In what can only be described as a marathon day at Queen's Club, Raducanu didn't just win a match, she won *two* of them in a single afternoon, blasting her way into Sunday's final! After facing whispers about her fitness, she straight up annihilated all doubts. This isn't just a win, this is a statement, and the tennis world better be paying attention because this comeback is real.

Unstoppable Force on the Grass

We're talking about a player who just delivered what's being called one of her "very best matches" against the talented 18-year-old Iva Jovic, taking her down 6-2, 6-2. And get this, she did it just five hours after her first match of the day! There were some concerns after she slipped and hurt her left thigh earlier, but by the time she was smashing backhand and forehand winners down the line for an early break, those worries were history. Her play? Relentless. She was striking the ball early, cleanly, with authority, not even hesitating on her forehand, and getting to the net confidently. The source says she hasn't hit the ball with this kind of cleanliness since the US Open almost five years ago. That's a massive deal. She hasn't dropped a single set this whole tournament, and with wins over World No. 18 Cirstea and No. 19 Jovic, it's her third time beating two top 20 opponents in one event. That's just clutch!

From Grim to Grass Queen

Remember how grim things were for Raducanu? Like, she lost six of her previous seven matches. Her last win was in March. Her French Open showing was brutal, trailing 0-6, 1-4 before fighting to make the score respectable. It's been a miserable year for her, constantly battling physical ailments. But if there was ever a surface for her to find her groove again, it was always going to be grass. She moves better on it, loves the low bounce, and those faster conditions just add more oomph to her strokes. She's just so confident out there! Against Jovic, who plays a similar offensive style, Raducanu was on another level. She came out desperate to dictate, pounding the ball and changing directions, her backhand was particularly sublime. Even when Jovic took a medical timeout or when Raducanu lost her serve at 2-0, facing four break points at 3-1 and 4-2, she didn't flinch. She just found a precise first serve or stepped inside the baseline and pressed until the point was hers. That's championship mindset, right there. So, what's next for our grass queen? She's facing Donna Vekic in the final, a Croatian veteran. Don't let the "lucky loser" status or the No. 76 ranking fool you, Vekic is an accomplished player who thrives on grass. She was a Wimbledon semi-finalist in 2024 and hit a career-high ranking of No. 17 last year. She just crushed Katie Boulter 6-1, 6-3 to get here, probably because Boulter was gassed after beating World No. 2 Elena Rybakina in a three-setter. This is Raducanu's third tour-level final, and she's hungry for that second title. You know she wants it bad. Get ready for Sunday, this is going to be epic!
