Alright, 12s, listen up! Our guy, Sam Darnold, just made a statement that's got the entire league buzzing, and honestly, it tells us a lot about the mindset of our starting quarterback. While everyone else is talking about old teams, what he said definitely hits different when he's leading the charge for the Emerald City. It’s early in the NFL season, and every signal from our leaders matters.

Our QB's Bullish Outlook on an Ex-Teammate

You ready for this? Sam Darnold, our very own signal-caller, is out here saying he’s "still bullish on J.J. McCarthy's future." Now, here's the kicker, the source article points out this is "despite a rough 2025 season for the young signal-caller." Let that sink in for a second. Our QB isn't just focused on what's directly in front of him, he's showing a broader perspective, an unshakeable belief in talent even when things get tough. Why does this matter to us, the most passionate fans in the NFL? Because it gives us a peek behind the curtain, a glimpse into the mental makeup of the guy under center for our Seahawks. To be "bullish" on someone else, especially after they've had a difficult year, speaks volumes. It shows a certain level of optimism and an ability to see potential that perhaps others don't. That kind of unwavering confidence is exactly what you want radiating from your quarterback, right?

What This Says About Sam, Our Guy

Think about it. We’re in the early stages of the NFL season. Every team is finding its form, and every player is setting the tone for their performance. When our starting quarterback, Sam Darnold, publicly expresses such strong belief in another player, it’s not just an offhand comment. It signals a certain mindset. This isn't just about J.J. McCarthy. This is about Sam Darnold. It highlights a resilience and a positive outlook that can be infectious. If Darnold can look at another player's "rough 2025 season" and still feel "bullish" about their future, what does that say about how he approaches challenges for *our* team? It shows a leader who believes in the long game, who sees beyond immediate struggles, and who maintains an optimistic vision. That kind of mental fortitude is crucial as Mike Macdonald and Brian Fleury guide our new-look squad with Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp on offense. We are watching a confident, forward-thinking QB emerge, and that's something to get excited about in these opening weeks.
