SI Just Called It: Shaheed and Murphy Are About to Unleash Havoc, and the League Won't Be Ready for the Emerald City!

Alright, 12s, you need to stop scrolling right now, because Sports Illustrated just dropped a bombshell, and it's got "Lumen Field GOING WILD" written all over it! Our very own Eva Geitheim at SI is calling out two Seahawks who are about to absolutely EXPLODE in the 2026 season. Get ready to scream, because Rashid Shaheed and Byron Murphy are pegged for breakout years, and if SI is right, the rest of the league is about to get a huge dose of green and blue dominance!

Super Bowl Champ Shaheed's Unleashed Speed

Think back to 2025, how our boy Shaheed racked up 188 receiving yards, helping us bring home that Super Bowl trophy. Seriously, a Super Bowl champ already, and he's just getting started! SI is predicting a massive leap in 2026, and with a full 17-game slate ahead, you know he's gonna eat. Shaheed, that Arizona native with electric speed, is gunning for that secondary receiver spot right alongside our main man, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Picture this: JSN drawing all the attention, and then BOOM, Shaheed hits a lethal deep threat, blowing past defensive backs. Our offense might have to lean on the pass game early next season, and Shaheed is perfectly positioned to jack up his receiving yards total from last year. We're talking pure, unadulterated

Byron Murphy: The Untapped Powerhouse on the D-Line

Now, let's flip to the other side of the ball, where Byron Murphy is set to become an absolute terror. This dude was already a standout in 2025, crushing it as a second-year veteran and proving himself as one of the best defensive tackles in the entire NFL. And guess what? SI says he hasn't even hit his ceiling yet! How insane is that? Our front seven is largely intact from last season, which means Murphy is going to have *so many* opportunities to absolutely demolish opposing offenses. Remember his seven sacks and seven tackles for loss in 2025? Get ready for a *significant* jump in that production. He's going to be living in the backfield, forcing turnovers, and making life miserable for every quarterback he faces. The thought of Murph taking another giant leap in his game? That's what championship defenses are built on, 12s! So, there you have it, Emerald City! Two of our Super Bowl heroes, Rashid Shaheed and Byron Murphy, are not just returning, they're poised to go from great to legendary in 2026, according to Sports Illustrated. The buzz is real, the potential is undeniable, and the stakes for our season are sky-high. We're talking about players who can define our season, make game-changing plays, and keep Lumen Field rocking all year long. Get ready to witness some serious football magic, because our boys are coming for everything!
