Before he became "Stan the Man," a revered icon of baseball, Stan Musial began his journey into professional baseball in a way many might find surprising today. In his first full season in 1942, Musial helped lead the Cardinals to a World Series title, batting an outstanding .315. By 1943, he had already captured his first National League MVP award, firmly establishing himself as one of the game's elite players.
