That Belmont Rematch Is NUTS, But Seattle On Tap Is Throwing Down a DIFFERENT Pick!

Alright 12s, listen up! While we're always bleeding green and blue here in the Emerald City, sometimes you gotta look at the wider sports world, and right now, the Belmont Stakes is coming in hot! We've got the third leg of the Triple Crown on deck, and it's looking like a full-blown rematch of the top two Kentucky Derby finishers. You'd think everyone would be sticking with those favorites, right? But over here at Seattle On Tap, we're eyeing a completely different top pick, because sometimes you gotta go against the grain to find the real winner. This race is set to be wild, and we're ready for the unexpected!

Triple Crown Drama Heats Up!

This isn't just any horse race, folks, it's the freaking Triple Crown! And for the Belmont, we're getting a straight-up showdown, a rematch featuring those top two horses who battled it out in the Kentucky Derby. That kind of rivalry? It brings all the drama you could ask for. Everyone's probably going to be talking about those two, picking their favorite from the pair. But let me tell you, sometimes the most exciting action happens when you look beyond the obvious. Our sources are saying the smart money might be on a dark horse, a different top pick altogether. It's the kind of move that can make or break your weekend, and we're always here for the bold plays.

From the Track to the Pitch and the Plate

But hey, horse racing isn't the only thing catching our eye this week, even as we live and breathe Seattle sports. Out there in the wider world of soccer, Antonee Robinson just dropped an absurd goal for the USMNT, giving them some serious life going into the World Cup. You know our own Cristian Roldan is always repping the US, and seeing that kind of fire from the national squad? It makes you want an even bigger firework show, especially after Paraguay's wild World Cup send-off. And speaking of fireworks, over in MLB, everyone's buzzing about the Umpire "ABS Invitational" Leaderboard, with "Strike Of The Week" and "Challenge Of The Week" dominating the chatter. Our Mariners are in the thick of the regular season, so you know how crucial every call is. This automated strike zone stuff? It's changing the game, whether you like it or not, and we're keeping a close watch on how it impacts pitching and hitting across the league.

Playoff Battles and Shocking Upsets Elsewhere

The national stage is absolutely bonkers right now. Over in the NBA, the Knicks are going for it, just two wins away from a title, even after reports of Victor Wembanyama trying to decapitate Jose Alvarado and getting coddled by the refs. Karl-Anthony Towns apparently single-handedly destroyed Wemby, with the rookie choking in the clutch after admitting he could have recovered better from beating OKC in the Western Conference Finals. That's some serious drama! And you *know* the Stanley Cup Finals have been "a movie" so far, with the Hurricanes topping the Golden Knights in a battle that’s got everyone talking. Even Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese had a showdown that didn't disappoint, with Clark pulling off nutmeg assists, deep 3s, and defensive clamps, while Reese was grabbing some sick rebounds. The sports world is just delivering hit after hit! So what's next? After this wild Belmont Stakes, you know we'll be watching how that "different top pick" plays out. We're keeping our eyes peeled on the USMNT for more World Cup prep and seeing how the ABS system continues to shake up MLB. It's a non-stop sports world out there, and you know Seattle On Tap is watching every single play!
